Board of DirectorsThe Governing Board are an extraordinary group of volunteers whose thoughtful leadership helps the School fulfill its mission. The Board is comprised of alumni, parents and friends committed to supporting the people and programs of ISCHS.
The Board shall meet at 9:00 am EST at 6341 Sunset Drive; 3rd Floor, South Miami, Florida, unless otherwise noted. All meetings are open to the public to attend. Please note that these dates are only proposed meeting dates and times and changes may occur, as necessary.
International Studies Charter High School, a non-profit organization, will comply with chapter 119 of the Florida Statutes, relating to public records, and s. 286.011, relating to public meetings and records, public inspection, and penalties the Florida Statutes relating to public records and public meetings.
Anyone who wishing to address the Board may file a request with the school principal or email a request to email@example.com.
To be scheduled to speak before the charter school board, a “Board Speaker Form” should be submitted no later than 3 business / school days preceding the meeting date. A “Board Speaker Form” may be obtained on this site or by contacting firstname.lastname@example.org.

Note: Members of the public that wish to address the Board will have a maximum amount of time (3 minutes) to speak at the discretion of the Board Chair. The Board will not address the presenter or take action at this time.

*Due to COVID-19 and Executive Order by Office of the Governor of the State of Florida, this meeting is being held solely via communications media technology. Members of the public wishing wishing to provide public comment may submit their comments in writing via-email of up to 250 words to the email address firstname.lastname@example.org at least 24 hours prior to the meeting, so your comments can be read into the record under Public Comment. For further information on how to watch or listen to the meeting, please email email@example.com.
**In an effort to allow greater public participation and to best accommodate stakeholders, these meetings shall be held via communications media technology (virtually) and at the school (2480 SW 8th Street, Miami, 33135). Due to COVID-19, although members of the public are invited to attend physically at the school, we highly encourage joining the meeting virtually at this time for the safety of our students and staff. Please note that per the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) guidelines, and the Board of Directors’ ongoing focus on safety, physical attendance may be limited and is on a first come, first serve basis. Face coverings are required. Temperature checks may be conducted before entering all school buildings. Board Speaker FormIf you wish to address the Board on any item listed on the agenda, please download the form below and fill in all applicable blanks on the form and hand to the Board Liaison seated at the Board table. The information will be used in compiling the official minutes of the Board meeting.
Procedures for Addressing Concerns
Positive relations between the School and its parents and families are a primary concern. For that reason, every effort will be made to handle disputes in the most positive way possible. The following steps have been outlined in order to facilitate resolution of such issues:
Make an appointment to clarify issue with your student¹s teacher.
Make appointment to clarify issue with the school administrator.
Academica will put you in contact with the Board Appointed Parent Liaison for your school.

State concerns at a scheduled Governing Board meeting. All complaints should be provided to the Board in writing (assistance available upon request) via Kelly Mallon / Board Liaison (contact information below) at least 3 days prior to a regular scheduled meeting.
