Spanish, ESOL & Reading Educator
Although an engineer by profession, I always knew I loved teaching. My minor was Plant Protection; therefore, I am familiar with biology, chemistry, and other sciences. However, when I arrived in the Unites States 16 years ago, I decided I would be a teacher at any cost. I believe, as Antoine de Saint-Exupery put it, that human contact is the ultimate luxury and that is probably why I love Humanities as well, especially languages and history. I have been at ISCHS for eleven years and have taught Spanish, World Geography, ESOL, Intensive Reading, IS Spanish Humanities, World History, AP Human Geography, and this year I will also start teaching AP Environmental Science. I think it is a privilege to be a teacher. What I like the most is learning and playing with my three-year-old twin grandsons. I almost have a superpower: I speak some Hungarian, a very difficult language. People say I am a natural born counselor and I like to believe I am.
