Foreign Language Educator
Bonjour! My name is Christine Starr and I have been teaching French here at ISCHS for the last 2 years. I am from Vendée in France, but I moved to London England, aged 18 and I have not stopped travelling since. In England, I earned a Higher National Diploma in Tourist Attraction Management from Plymouth University, and started working at the wonderful “Roman Baths Museum” in Bath, before starting a career as cabin crew for British Airways. Family life led me back to France where I started working in a local Middle School near Toulouse. There, I caught the education bug and decided it was time for another chapter in my life. I received a Bachelor’s degree with a major in English at the Université Toulouse Jean Jaurès, passed my CAPES in English and then earned a Master’s Degree in Education with a major in English at the ESPE in Toulouse. I taught English in a Middle School near Toulouse before moving to Miami in August 2019. Teaching languages is amazing and very rewarding. Everyday, I am lucky to be able to share my language, its funny sound, crazy grammar and wonderful culture. Mes chers élèves, j’ai hâte de tous vous retrouver.
